Earl Paxson

Mr. Paxson was born November 13, 1919 at Valentine, Nebraska, to Charles and Molly Paxson. He was a self-employed contractor most of his life. He also worked as a school bus driver and maintenance man at Pauma Valley School in Pauma Valley, California. He moved to the Mountain Home area in 1985, moving from Escondido, California. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Paxson enjoyed bowling, and fishing. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors: Mr. Paxson is survived by 1 daughter, Earleen (George) Dowd, of Mountain Home, 2 granddaughters, Jodie (Joe) McKinney, of West Plains, Missouri, Carmen (Randy) Rosson, of Mountain Home, 4 great-grandchildren, Daniel and Korrie McKinney, of West Plains, Missouri, Cortney (Bill) Zastrow, Jordan Boothe, of Mountain Home, and a special friend, Kathy Mason, of Mountain Home. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Thelma Farr Paxson, several brothers and sisters, and a dear companion of several years, Nelda Holland. Funeral: A memorial service for Earl E. Paxson of Mountain Home will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday July 11, 2006 at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home. Mr. Paxson died Saturday July 8, 2006 at Hospice House in Mountain Home. He was 86. Burial: Burial will be in Escondido Cemetery at a later date. Memorials: Memorials may be made to Hospice House in Mountain Home.
