Edith Hargleroad

Edith M. Hargleroad was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on June 10, 1909. She was the daughter of Franklin Leslie and Nellie Elizabeth Stiles Lang. She married James C. Hargleroad on Dec. 28, 1946 in Terre Haute, Indiana. Edith was a homemaker and enjoyed ceramics and sewing. She was also an avid gardener, which can be attested to by the number of yards that still have plants started as a cutting or bulb from her garden. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Bull Shoals, life member of Hoevel-Barnett VFW Post 1341 Auxiliary, DAV, Garden Club and a former volunteer for the Chamber of Commerce. Prior to her marriage to James C. Hargleroad in 1946, Edith (circa early 1930's) was office manager at Terre Haute Airport. Edith M. Hargleroad passed away at Twin Lakes Nursing Home on July 27, 2005, at the age of 96 years, 1 month and 17 days. She will be missed by those who love her. Survivors: Three sons, John and Jenny Hargleroad of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, William and Alicia Hargleroad of Eagle, Colorado, and Norman Lantry of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; stepchildren, James and Bobbi Hargleroad of Louisville, Kentucky, Stan and Liz Hargleroad of Encino, California, and Jean Carol Andersen of St. Paul Minnesota; four grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one great- great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews Preceded in Death by: Her parents, husband, two sisters and three brothers Visitation: 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, July 31, 2005 Funeral: 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 1, 2005 at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel in Bull Shoals, Arkansas with Reverend Jerry Backus officiating Burial: Newton Flat Cemetery, Bull Shoals, Arkansas Memorials: Hospice of the Ozarks, 701 Burnett Drive, Mountain Home,AR 72653
