Mrs. Clouse died Wednesday, April 22, 2009 in Mountain Home at the age of 84. She was born Tuesday, August 5, 1924 in Luxora, Arkansas, daughter of Edgar and Wondie Beasley Beckham. She married Robert Clouse on September 18, 1997 at the Marion County Courthouse. She worked as a Nurse's Aide for over 20 years, and also as a home health caregiver for many years. She was a bold and outspoken woman, but had a heart of compassion, always putting the care of others before herself. She enjoyed her flower garden, traveling, birdwatching, and was known to tell the occassional joke. Edna and Robert have lived in Flippin since 1997, moving from Clarksville, Tennessee. She was a member of Military Order of the Purple Heart Ladies Auxillary. Survivors: Edna is survived by her husband, Robert Clouse of Flippin, Arkansas, daughters: Iris Miller of Flippin, Barbara Payne of Kingsland, GA, Patricia (Nick) Amabile of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, and Janet (Marty) Smith of Jacksonville, FL; brothers Henry Beckham of Arlington, TX, and Robert (Peggy) Beckham of Senatoba, MS; sisters: Annie (Glen) Alexander of Tupelo, MS, Maxine Anderson of Centerville, TN, and Evelyn (Robert) Caudle of Clarksville, TN; 10 Grandchildren, 15 Great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband John William Blomquist, and 2 brothers, Edward and Edgar Beckham. Funeral: Memorial Service for Mrs. Edna Blomquist Clouse of Flippin, AR, will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2009 at Kirby Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Steve Martin officiating.
