Memorial Services for Edson Burke Preble of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm Saturday, May 28, 2011 at First Presbyterian Church, with Reverend Nancy Taylor officiating.
Edson passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011 at Mountain Home, at the age of 79. He was born January 23, 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri. He married Beverly Sterling-Wolf on November 9, 1984 at Brighton, Colorado and worked as an airplane mechanic for United Air Lines. Edson Preble was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He lived in Mountain Home since 1992 moving from Prescott, Arizona.
Edson is survived by his wife, Beverly Preble of the home; one son, Glen (Bambi) Preble of Castle Rock, CO; daughter, Alison Preble of Westminster, CO; one stepson; David (Kim) Wolf of Keenesburg, CO and one stepdaughter; Lisa Wolf of Denver, CO, one sister, Mary Jean Arehart of Spearfish, SD; grandchildren; Aubrey and Lance Preble and Matthew and Haley Wolf; a special cousin, Judy Nelson of Princeton, IL and numerous other cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Tobias Spinks and Cora Mae Smith Spinks Preble and adopted father, Colonel Harold Preble.
Entombment will be in the Kirby?s Tucker Memorial Mausoleum.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House or First United Presbyterian Church.
