Edward J. Dykstra of Mountain Home died October 16, 2007 at the age of 78. He was born August 1, 1929 at Kansas City, Missouri to Edward J. Dykstra and Agnes Marie Lynch. He married Shirley Roades February 22, 1988 at Mountain Home, Arkansas. He was a general manager at Sears Merchant Discount Center for 41 years. He lived in Chicago, Illinois before moving to Mountain Home in 1987. He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce, United Way Budget Committee, Kansas City, Missouri Board Member Jr. Achievement, Atlanta, Georgia, Boad Member of Mt.Sinat Hospital, Chicago, Illinois and Member of B.P.O. Elks in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Survivors: Wife, Shirley Dykstra of Mountain Home, 3 daughters, Joye (James) Wade of Aragon, Georgia, Deborah (Daniel) Bysinger of Dallas, Texas and Tammy (Mark) Kelly of Powder Springs, Georgia; 2 step-daughters, Pamela Wilson of Kanasa City, Missouri and Dina Murphy of Chicago, Illinois; 2 step-sons, Chris Wilson of Belton, Missouri and Jonny Wilson of Kansas City, Missouri; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Preceded in Death by: His parents. Visitation: 9:00-10:00 A.M. prior to the service. Funeral: 10:00 A.M. Saturday October 20, 2007 at Amos Family Funeral Chapel, Shawnee, Kansas.
