Edward Evert Euers

July 17, 1929 — July 20, 2015

A Celebration of Life for Edward Evert Euers of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Saturday, September 5, 2015, at First Presbyterian Church, with Reverend Nancy Taylor officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Ozark V.F.W. Post #3246 Honor Guard.

He will always be remembered for his quick sense of humor and willingness to help others and did his best thinking with his pipe in hand. He was a hard worker who seldom missed a day at work. His children all learned from his example and loved him for all he taught them.

Edward passed away peacefully July 20, 2015, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 86. He was born July 17, 1929, in Florence, Wisconsin, the son of Edward and Alma Weackler Euers. Upon graduating from high school, he joined the U.S. Navy and became a Hospital Corpsman on the U.S. Navy Hospital Ship Consolation. He served from 1948 until 1952 during the Korean War. He married the love of his life, Lillian Brucklacher on January 31, 1953, at Milwaukee, Wisconsin and became a refrigeration fitter in the Steamfitters Union for almost 40 years. In Waukesha, Wisconsin, he was a life member of the DAV and VFW. Edward lived in Mountain Home since moving from Waukesha, Wisconsin, in 1994. He was a member and elder of the First Presbyterian Church, and worked on the Building and Grounds committee for many years. He was a bow-hunter in his younger years, took up fishing when he came to Mountain Home, then spent his later years using his artistic talents to create many beautiful displays out of styrofoam and paint that many people marveled at when they came to his home.

Edward is survived by his wife, Lillian Euers of Mountain Home, AR; daughter, Deborah Hubbard of Indianapolis, IN; son, Douglas (Kim) Euers of Phoenix, AZ; daughter, Amy Cooper of Mountain Home, AR; three grandchildren, Mychal (Sarah) Doering of Bloomington, IN, Christopher Constantine of Mountain Home, AR, and Steve Constantine of Austin, TX, and two great-grandchildren, Izaiah and Henry Doering of Bloomington, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kenneth Euers; four sisters, Adria "Honey", Doris, Joan, and Beatrice; and son-in-law, Michael Cooper.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House or First Presbyterian Church, both of Mountain Home.
