Edward passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at his residence, at the age of 69. He was born October 10, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Otto and Alvina M. Meyer. He married Sheryl Cook on December 20, 2001 at Geneva, Illinois. He worked as a Police Officer for Chicago Police Department. Edward Meyer was a U.S. Army Vietnam era veteran. Edward lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas for 20 years moving from Chicago. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #7, Chicago, Illinois and founding member of Twin Lakes Retired Police Scholarship Foundation.
Edward is survived by his wife, Sheryl Meyer of Mountain Home; son, Eddie (Paula) Meyer of Hometown, IL; grandchildren, Jimmy Meyer and Sean Meyer; 2 sisters-in-law, 2 brothers-in-law, and many nieces, nephews and step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents, first wife, Margaret, second wife, Mary Katherine and special friend, Sweetheart.
