Edward "Edd" Simpson was born on July 13, 1918 at Pine Knot, Ky to Reverend Edd and Etta Wilson Simpson. He married Barbara Putt on December 9, 1977 at Charlotte, Tennessee and moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas from Richmond Virgina in 1980. He was a U.S. Army Infantry veteran and served with the 8th & 28th Infantry at the battle of the Bulge. He was a food and beverage manager at the Holiday Inn in Mountain Home for 24 years. He passed away in at the Baxter Regional Medical Center on September 10, 2004 at the age of 86 years, 1 month and 27 days.` Survivors: Wife; Barbara Simpson of Mountain Home, 2 Sons; Robert D. Ausherman (Wife Paula)of Visalia, California and Robert W. Jenvey II (wife Tamara) of Richmond, VA. 3 Daughters; Amanda S. Jenvey of Malvern, AR, Betty Franklin of Orlando, FL. and Judith of Baltimore, MD., 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. 1 sister Myrtle Blakley (Husband Tom Lewis) of Vero Beach, FL. and Special nieces and nephews; Beverly and Ed Phillips, Sally and Bruce Pieper, Tom and Diane Phillips and Delores (Snookie) Foster. Preceded in Death by: Parents, one daughter Jacquelyn and three sisters; Violet, Edith and Evie. Visitation: from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel Funeral: Services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday September 17, 2004 at the Twin Lakes Baptist Church with Dr. Sam Bailey officiating Burial: Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery Memorials: Diabetes Foundation
