Edward Eugene Walker was born May 4, 1928, at Des Arc, AR, to William Frank and Effie Josephine Linton Walker. He married Mary Imogene Fry on November 20, 1948 at Sedgwick, AR. Mr. Walker worked in the printing industry for over 30 years. He and his wife settled in Chicago, IL in 1945. They retired back to Walnut Ridge, AR in 1993 and then to Mountain Home in 1998. Mr. Walker was a member of the Assembly of God Church Family and served as an usher for numerous years. He was a steadfast and faithful servant to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and to his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, visiting family and friends, and miscellaneous craft projects. Survivors: Edward Walker is survived by 2 sons, David (Virginia) Walker, of Libertyville, IL, Steven (Nancy) Walker, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, 4 grandchildren, Matthew, Daniel, Kyle, and Lindsey Walker, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents, wife (Mary Walker), seven brothers, Alva, Lilbourn Hayes, Gardner ?Doc? Wyatt, James Otto, Ray Linton, Gaylon Scott, and William Frank Walker, two sisters, Georgia and Lela Mae Walker. Visitation: Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday July 6, 2006 at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home. Funeral: Funeral services for Edward Eugene ?Hink? Walker of Mountain Home, AR will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday July 7, 2006 at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Howell officiating. Burial: Burial will be in Kirby?s Tucker Memorial Cemetery. Honorary Bearers: Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Morris and Jim Griffin. Active Bearers: Matthew Walker, Kyle Walker, Keith Morris, Bruce Morris, Bob Walker, and Lanny Walker as pallbearers.
