Edward Russell Wilkins was born November 3, 1917 in Idaho. He married Katherine Wood, December 31, 1965 in Los Gatos, California. He served with the United States Navy for twenty years. After retirement from the Navy, he was employed with United Air Lines as an aircraft mechanic. Mr. Wilkins moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas from Sunnyvale, California in 1974. He was a member of Mountain Home Masonic Lodge #225, Lifetime member of the Power Squadron and Fleet Reserve, Alley White American Legion Post # 50, VFW Ozark Post #3246 and Clarkridge Baptist Church. Edward Russell Wilkins passed away at Baxter Regional Medical Center, May 3, 2006, at the age of 88 years and 6 months. Survivors: Six daughters, Janice Keeling and Janette Ortega of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Susan (Michael) Moore of Palo Alto, California; Debra (Brad) Johnson of Jefferson City, Missouri, Connie and Carol; three sons, Edward Russell (Marta) Wilkins Jr., John Earl (Jackie) Barnhill of Mountain Home, Arkansas, and James Edward Barnhill Jr. of Jefferson, Indiana; twenty-two grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren Preceded in Death by: His parents; wife; son, Robert; two brothers and two sisters Visitation: 5:00-8:00 p.m., sunday, May 7, 2006 at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel Funeral: 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 8, 2006 at Clarkridge Baptist Church with Reverend Estell Grigg officiating and military honors provided by Alley-White American Legion Post #52 Honor Guard Burial: Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery Memorials: Any veteran's organization of your choice
