Edwin L Switzer

Edwin Leroy Switzer of Midway, Arkansas, passed away November 23, 2023, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 82. He was born September 20, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Edwin and Linnea Carlson Switzer. He married Esther Pfeiffer on January 26, 1961, in Orland Park, IL. Edwin was a U.S. veteran of the Coat Guard. He was a loving husband and proud father. Edwin was an avid gardener, fisherman, guitar and banjo strummer and student of the Bible. He loved bluegrass music and cooking for his family and friends. He will be remembered for the best sweet corn in the state.

Edwin is survived by his wife, Esther Switzer of Midway, AR; children, Tammy (Larry) Lones of Mokena, Il, Eddie Switzer of Lakeview, AR and John Switzer of Mokena, Il; sister, Gloria Eggermaier; grandchildren, Linnea (Jon) Stepanovic, Savannah (Trevor) Blackburn, Malena (Jon) Belvedere and great grandchildren, Effie Blackburn and Bowie Belvedere.

He was preceded in death by his parents and great grandson, Sebastian.

Family services will be private.
