Effie Porter

Effie Sease Porter was born February 24, 1915 in Cartney, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Herbert Prestor and Dessie McMahan Sease. She married John Joseph Porter, August 29, 1940, in Tijuana, Mexico. The Porter family moved to Cotter, Arkansas from Dallas, Texas in 1985. Mrs. Porter attended Southeastern Teacher's College, East Central College, Oklahoma A & M, and the University of Oklahoma. Effie loved to paint and she painted for twenty-five years. Effie Sease Porter passed away December 2, 2005, at Baxter Regional Medical Center, at the age of 90 years, 9 months and 8 days.
