Eileen Stewart died Tuesday, October 21, 2008 in Mountain Home at the age of 82. She was born Sunday, September 5, 1926 in Winnipeg, Canada, the daughter of John Arthur and Olive Spinks Smales. She married Ernest Stewart on December 6, 1946 at Winnipeg, Canada and worked as a Nursing Home Adminstrator for Our Lady of Fatima Village in Saratoga, CA for more than 20 years. She was also a member of the Santa Clara Association of Health Facilities serving as their secretary. After retiring, Eileen lived in Bull Shoals since 1990 and was a Volunteer at the Historical Society and Bull Shoals Library. She was Treasurer of the Presbyterian Woman and the Home Extension Club in Bull Shoals. She was the Treasurer of the Fire Department Auxilliary, and active in the Little Bit Used Shop. Eileen was also a member of the Lions Club. Eileen enjoyed travel and her volunteer activities. Survivors: Eileen Stewart is survived by 2 sons, Gregory R. (Geri) Stewart of Plymouth, MN and Gordon R. (Ann) Stewart of Memphis, TN, brother, Don (Corinne) Smales, of Winnipeg, Canada, grandchildren, Ian Christopher, Peter Adam and Timorie Lynn Stewart. Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Stewart and parents. Funeral: Memorial services for Eileen Stewart of Bull Shoals, AR, will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 25, 2008 at the Presbyterian Church of Bull Shoals, with Reverend Mark Lenneville officiating. A Celebration of Life will follow at the church. Burial: Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Memorials: In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House.
