A Funeral Mass for Eileen Mae Young of Cotter, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Thursday, December 27, 2012, at St. Peter The Fisherman Catholic Church with Father Christopher Okeke as Celebrant. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 pm, Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel. Eileen passed away December 20, 2012, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 65. She was born August 6, 1947, in Providence, Rhode Island, the daughter of Joseph and Louise Berry Gannon. She had six children with her late husband, Paul Arthur Benner. After Paul passed away in 1982, she married Peter Young October 22, 1983, at Providence, Rhode Island. Eileen lived in the area, since 1980, moving from Las Angeles, California. She was a member of the St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, a devoted Catholic and Godly. She looked forward to going to church and loved the Lord. She raised her children up in the Lord. Eileen was a wonderful person, who loved everyone, had the most patience and never judged anyone. "Every day is a new adventure." She will be greatly missed and is in God's loving arms. Eileen is survived by her husband, Peter Young of Cotter, AR, seven children, David Gannon of MA, Ronald (Theresa) Benner of Aurora, CO, Donald (Jackie) Benner of Atwater, CA, Arthur Benner of Atwater, CA, Mary Jean Benner of Cotter, AR, Paul Benner, Jr. of Cotter, AR and Danielle (Charles) Benner Patton of Cotter, AR; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Louise Sweet of North Providence, RI; brother, Joseph (Marion) Gannon, Jr. of West Greenwich, RI and her devoted dog, Sissy. She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband, Paul Arthur Benner, Sr. Burial will be in the Patton Cemetery, Pyatt, Arkansas, with Paul Benner, Charles Patton, Lyndal Benner, Bobby Henry, Arthur Benner, Ronald Benner and Jason Cottier as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church. Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
