A Funeral Service for Eldon Stuart Fleming of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Monday, February 23, 2015, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Richard Jebsen officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, February 22, 2015, from 5:00 until 8:00 pm, at the funeral home.
Eldon passed away February 18, 2015, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 92. He was born January 14, 1923, in Tilden, Nebraska, the son of Roy and Florence Wolff Fleming. He married Phyllis Derrick on August 27, 1946, at Norfolk, Nebraska and worked as a Logistics Management Specialist for U.S. Army and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Eldon lived in Mountain Home since 1988, moving from Tacoma, Washington. He was a life member of the Ozark V.F.W. Post #3246. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, lapidary and was a rock hound, collected sea shells when they lived in Panama and made home brew to share with friends.
Eldon is survived by his wife, Phyllis E. Fleming of Mountain Home, AR; daughter, Margaret Rogers of Lincoln, NE; son, Roger Fleming of Prague, OK; ten grandchildren; numerous great, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Marlene Hoffmann; two brothers; one sister and two nephews.
Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Military Honors will be provided by the Ozark V.F.W. Post #3246 and U.S. Army Honor Guards.
