A Funeral Service for Eldon Ray Hall of Flippin, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, November 5, 2015, at the Calvary Temple Assembly of God, with Pastor Kyle Tardiff and Pastor Michael Hall officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 4, 2015, from 5:00 until 8:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel.
Eldon passed away November 1, 2015, in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 81. He was born September 4, 1934, in Leachville, Arkansas, the son of Archie and Mary Williamson Hall. He married Kay Moore on July 27, 1953, at Durant, Oklahoma. He was a retired U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. While serving in the military, he taught World History and Speech at the Non Commissioned Officer's Leadership School and was Adjunct Professor of History at Wichita State University. Eldon lived in Flippin for 45 years moving from Tampa, Florida. After retiring from the military, he was the personnel director at Baxter Regional Medical Center. He became the administrator at Baxter Manor Nursing Home and was instrumental in the building of Gassville Therapy and Living and Twin Lakes Nursing Center also serving as their administrator.
Eldon is survived by his wife, Kay Hall of Flippin, AR; son, Michael (Beckie) Hall of Austin, TX; son, Steven Hall and great-granddaughter, Haley Mansfield of the home; five grandchildren, Shane Mansfield, Rachel Guidotti, Stephen Hall, Christina Mansfield, Doug Mansfield and Joseph Hall; 19 other great-grandchildren and his Alaskan Husky, Kota.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Ginger Mansfield.
Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery, Cotter, Arkansas, with Steven Hall, Michael Hall, Joseph Hall, Pastor Kyle Tardiff, Doug Mansfield and Shane Mansfield as pallbearers. Military Honors will be provided by the Alley-White American Legion Post #52 and U.S. Air Force Honor Guards.
