Eleanor Brown

Eleanor Brown died Sunday, November 18, 2007 in Mountain Home. She was 92. Eleanor Brown was born Sunday, March 14, 1915 in Washington Co., Iowa, the daughter of Andrew and Inez Carris Augustine. She married Laurel Brown on July 3, 1959 at Davenport, Iowa. She was employed by the Eagle Signal Company of Davenport for 25 years. Eleanor has lived in Mountain Home for the past 20 years and attended First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing cards, was an avid sports fan of the Chicago Cubs and Iowa Hawkeyes. Survivors: one son, Tom (Lucy) Telford of Mountain Home, AR., 1 daughter, Linda (Leo) Alquist of Mountain Home, AR., stepdaughter, Marsha Sweet of Conrad, Iowa, 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren. Preceded in Death by: her husband, Laurel Brown and 3 brothers, and 1 sister. Visitation: from 5-8 P.M., Wednesday, November 21, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. Funeral: Graveside Services for Eleanor Grace Brown will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 24, 2007 in Elm Grove Cemetery, Washington, Iowa, with Pastor Julia Paulsen officiating.
