Funeral Services for Eleanor Isabel Dickerson of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 7, 2016, at First United Methodist Church, with Reverend Tom Frase and Reverend Heather Clawitter officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM, until time of service at the church.
Eleanor passed away January 3, 2016, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 89. She was born March 13, 1926, in Whittier, California, the daughter of Lesley and Elizabeth Stubblefield Cooper. She married W.W. "Bill" Dickerson on February 20, 1946 and was a homemaker and bookkeeper in their business. Eleanor lived in Mountain Home since 1950, moving from Parsons, Kansas. April 20, 2002, Eleanor married Marlo Moore of Mountain Home. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was an organist for many years, a pianist, a vocal soloist, and decades long choir member at First United Methodist Church.
Eleanor is survived by her two daughters, Sharon Byrd Wolford of Cabool, MO, and Debbie Dickerson of Mountain Home, AR; son, W.W. "Bill" Dickerson, Jr. of Mountain Home, AR, five grandchildren, Jenny (David) Bunger of Lowell, AR, Justin Dickerson, Ben Dickerson, Jessi Dickerson and Miranda Dickerson all of Mountain Home, AR; 6 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Kathleen Loftin of Denair, CA and Carol Todd of Riverside, CA; and two step-sons Marco Moore of Bryant, AR, and Dean Moore of Morrilton, AR.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; sister, Vivian and brother, Earl.
Burial will be in the Baxter Memorial Gardens, Mountain Home, AR, with Dick Dickerson Jr., Stacy Dickerson, Jay Dickerson, David Bunger, Justin Dickerson and Ben Dickerson as pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or Food Bank of North Central Arkansas.
