Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Hager of Norfork, Arkansas, passed away January 19, 2022, in Norfork, Arkansas at the age of 79. She was born May 31, 1942, in Doniphan, Missouri, the daughter of Dorris Clinton "D.C." and Blanche Ophelia Boyd Blair. Betty worked as a bookkeeper and lived in Baxter County for most of her adult life; before that, she lived in Ohio, New Mexico, and Mountain Home, Arkansas, and had beloved friends and family in each place. Betty loved to sing and had one of the most beautiful voices on Earth. Playing guitar and singing bluegrass gospel with family and friends was one of her greatest joys. Betty had a fierce will and a vibrant spirit, and she deeply loved God.
Betty is survived by her son, Darrell Allen (Denilla) Bryant of Des Moines, IA; daughters Beverly Diane (Marcal) Bryant Eilenstein of Mount Vernon, MO, and Amanda (Kelly) Hager Freudensprung of Benton, AR; sister Linda Gaydos of New Mexico; grandchildren Amber, D.J., Josh, Katie, Marcal Jr., Jennifer, Adam, and Beth; 18 great-grandchildren; special niece Lilly; sister-in-law Lucinda Blair; aunts Bernice Boyd, Lou Boyd, and Louise Boyd; her beloved cats Banjo and Lexi, and a host of loved ones and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Carolyn Cook; and brothers Nathan, Charles, and Donnie Blair.
A Graveside Service for Betty will be 10:00 am, Monday, January 24, 2022, at Martin Springs Cemetery in Norfork, with minister Matthew Stidham officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Norfork Volunteer Fire Department.
