Beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother, Elizabeth Caroline ?Betty? Hobbs, 85, passed away surrounded by her family at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, AR on May 19, 2012. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held at 10AM Saturday June 23, 2012, at the Presbyterian Church of Bull Shoals with the Reverend Terry Hart officiating. Dr. Reverend Fred Taylor will deliver the eulogy. Betty was born December 5, 1926, in Denver, CO to Arthur and Mary Burk Rosenthal. She married her husband, Bob, of almost 66 years on June 12, 1946. After a 32 year career in the Air Force, Betty and Bob moved to Yocham Bend, AR in 1973 and then to Bull Shoals, AR in 1989. Betty spent her life devoted to her family. Her children and grandchildren meant everything to her and she will be remembered for her unconditional love and selfless caring for others. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Bull Shoals. Betty is survived by her husband, Bob Hobbs of Bull Shoals, AR; two daughters, Mary Gyarfas of Bedford, TX and Kathryn Theberge (Skip) of Germantown, MD; two sons, Robert Hobbs Jr. (Julie) of Colorado Springs, CO and Houston Hobbs of Champaign, IL; eight grandchildren, Heather (Trevor), Caroline (Joey), Christina (Laszlo), Blake, Billy, Casey (Jackie), Mike (Kim) and Carrie; five great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Connor, Luna, Colin, Addyson and two on the way; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Mary Ann Powell and brother, Bill Rosenthal. Memorials may be made to the Presbyterian Church of Bull Shoals.
