Elizabeth Long

Elizabeth Long died Sunday, June 28, 2009 in Mountain Home at the age of 85. She was born Wednesday, August 29, 1923 in Ottawa, Illinois, the daughter of Marcel Thiry and Alice Fern Gadke. She married Marvin Long and was a homemaker. Elizabeth lived in Mountain Home since 2004 moving from Fairfield Bay, Arkansas. Survivors: Elizabeth Long is survived by her husband, Marvin Long of Clinton, TN, 1 son, Charles Pressel of Princton, IL, daughter, Kathleen L.(Robin) Kelly of Elmhurst, IL and step-son, Greg (Linda) Long of Clinton, TN. 2 brothers; Robert Thiry of Princeton, IL and Jim Thiry of Mesquite, TX. , two sisters; Glennie (Dennis) Anderson and Shirley Cullmann, both of Ottawa, IL. and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, one son William, 4 brothers and 4 sisters. Visitation: Visitation will be from 1-3 P.M., Wednesday, July 1 at the Kirby & Family Funeral Home, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Funeral: Graveside services for Elizabeth Geraldine Long of Mountain Home, AR, will be 9:00 A.M. Friday, July 3, 2009 at St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove, Illinois, with Reverend Gene Gratkowksi officiating. Burial: Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove, Illinois. Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Ozarks.
