Elke Hausmann

A Family Gathering for Elke Helen Hausmann of Mountain Home, Arkansas, was held Friday, August 23, 2019, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home.

Elke passed away August 22, 2019, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 73. She was born March 21, 1946, in Poppenlauer, West Germany, the daughter of William and Frieda Rothlander. She married Gerald Hausmann on June 22, 1974, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and was a caregiver. Elke lived in Mountain Home since moving from West Allis, Wisconsin and Escanaba, Michigan. She was a member of the American Legion Post #52 Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, listening to music, and spending time with her children and especially her grandchildren. She rescued and adored her dogs and loved them as if they were her own children.

Elke is survived by her husband, Gerald Hausmann of Mountain Home, AR; daughter, Brenda (David) Behling of Lakeview, AR; son, Robert (Carrie) Weiss of West Allis, WI; daughter, Sandra (Guy) Bark of Henderson, AR; daughter, Melissa Hausmann of West Allis, WI, sister, Gertrude Hummer of West Germany; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Brian Weiss.

Burial will be at a later date in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
