Funeral services for Irene Shannon of Mountain Home, AR, will be private. Irene passed away Friday, August 3, 2012, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, at the age of 91. Irene was born August 15, 1920, in Leon, Iowa, the daughter of and James and Mayne Wade Wilson. Irene married Edward Shannon in the early 1950's at Stockton, California. Irene lived in Mountain Home, since 2011, moving from Wiley, Colorado. Irene enjoyed cooking, crochet, playing cards, carving, and painting. Irene is survived by two daughters, Martha Watts of Mountain Home, AR, and Betty Stubbs of Harrison, AR; 7 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, and one great-grandson. Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
