Elwood Ehlert

Elwood R. "Bud" Ehlert was born March 1, 1912 in Elgin, Illinois. He was the son of Herman and Pauline Semmier Ehlert. He married Ada Mae Shinberger on May 17, 1944 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Bud was a World War II veteran and lifetime member of the VFW. After his discharge from the Army, Bud and Ada Mae made their home in Elgin, where he worked at the Elgin Paper Company, and the First National Bank of Elgin. In 1977, they happily retired and began a new chapter of their lives in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Elwood R. "Bud" Ehlert passed away peacefully at his home in Sequim, Washington on May 21, 2005, at the age of 93 years, 2 months and 20 days.
