Emogene Marie Clayton

A Funeral Service for Emogene Marie Clayton of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, with Father Jim McDonald officiating. Visitation will be Monday, May 16, 2016, 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel.

Emogene passed away May 13, 2016, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 76. She was born March 22, 1940, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, the daughter of Newell and Bernice Lance Rowden. She married Dwayne Clayton on September 29, 1960, at Leachville, Arkansas. Emogene was a lifetime resident of Mountain Home. She was an avid reader and known as a very strong woman who took care of everyone. Emogene loved to fish and crochet.

Emogene is survived by her son, Danny (Sharon) Clayton of Huntsville, TX; son, Johnny (Crystal) Clayton of Viola, AR; daughter, Becky (Don Price) Cooper of Fayetteville, AR; son, Ronnie (Melinda) Clayton of Mountain Home, AR and son, Gary (Brian) Maness of Mountain Home, AR; brother, Larry (Jackie) Rowden of Mountain Home, AR, brother, Ralph Rowden of Mountain Home, AR, sister, Donna Jones of Gamaliel, AR, brother, Donald (Brenda) Rowden of Mountain Home, AR, sister, Diane (Larry) Roberts of Flippin, AR, brother, Vernon Rowden of Mountain Home, AR; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and seven siblings.

Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, AR, with Levi Garrett, Danny Trivitt Jr, Denton Clayton, David Clayton, Charlie Clayton, and Brian Maness as pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House or St. Andrew's Food Pantry.
