A Graveside Memorial Service for Ernest "Dale" Buckles of Springfield, Missouri, will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, with Pastor Lewis Godby officiating. Dale passed away April 7, 2013, in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 83. He was born January 6, 1930, in Streator, Illinois, the son of James and Edna McClure Buckles. He married Patsy Smith on August 16, 1968, at Las Vegas, Nevada and worked as a department supervisor for the Thatche Glass Manufacturing Company. Dale was a U.S.Navy veteran of the Korean War. Ernest lived in Springfield, since 1997, moving from Mountain Home, Arkansas. He attended the First Christian Church and enjoyed loved making crafts. Birds, bees and bowls made from pecans he gathered from his son's yards in Oklahoma. He was very talented at making things for his house also. Dale is survived by his wife, Patsy Buckles of Springfield, MO, three sons, Ronald Buckles of Palmdale, CA, Martin Crocker of St. Louis, MO and David Crocker of Santa Clarita, CA, three daughters, Debra Spellious of Nacogdoches, TX, Gale Fligg of Santa Clara, CA and Kimbley Richards of Santa Clara, CA; thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert Buckles; two brothers, William and Henry Buckles and three sisters, Ruby McDowell, Dorathy Davis and Mary Penning. Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Military Honors will be provided by the Ozark V.F.W. Post #3246 Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to Mercy Hospital Hospice, Springfield, Missouri. Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
