Services for Ernest “Ernie” Shortridge Hundt, 90, of Flippin, AR will be private. Ernie died December 7, 2014 at Mountain Home, AR.
Ernie was born in Berrien Springs, Michigan to Ernest and Kathleen Shortridge Hundt. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War and a Silver Star medal holder. Before retiring to Arkansas, Ernie worked as a welder. He was a member of the Honor Guard at Hoevel-Barnett Post #1341 VFW in Bull Shoals, AR. Ernie was an accomplished woodcarver and member of the North Arkansas Woodcarvers.
He is survived by daughters, Jayne Salisbury (Frank) and Karen Brown (Mark) of Michigan; stepson, James Janz of Flippin, AR; grandson, Joseph Cox III of Michigan and canine companion, Rufus. His parents and two wives preceded him in death.
