A Memorial Service for Erwin “Red” Larson, 82, of Bull Shoals, AR will be 11AM Friday, March 14, 2014, at the Bull Shoals United Methodist Church with the Reverend Donnie Hudson officiating. Family will receive friends from 10AM until time of service. Red died March 10, 2014, at Care Manor in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Red was born June 23, 1931, at Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He married Barbara “Bobbie” Wolters January 2, 1993, at Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Red served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was an over the road truck driver for a number of companies including gas and oil producers, Ranger Boats, and his brother-in-law’s bait company. He was a faithful friend of Bill W. for almost 40 years and a lifetime member of the Hoevel-Barnett Post #1341 VFW. Red was an avid golfer and bowler. He never met a stranger and never forgot you once he met you.
Red is survived by his wife, Bobbie of Bull Shoals, AR; step-children, Terry (Dennis) Moser, Tony Pierce, Leslie (Dan) Hackbarth, and Scott Pierce all of WI.
His parents, two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
Memorials may be made to the Bull Shoals Food Pantry.
