Esther Helen Martin

A Funeral Service for Esther Hellen Martin of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 5:00 pm, Sunday, September 27, 2015, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend David Gadbaw officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until the time of service.

Esther passed away September 24, 2015, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 83. She was born September 18, 1932, in Wisconsin, the daughter of Sylvester and Myrtle Burlingame. She married Oscar Martin on December 23, 1949, at Pine City, Minnesota and was a homemaker. Esther lived in Mountain Home since 2002, moving from Savonburg, Kansas. She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church and enjoyed gardening, volunteering at Redeemer Lutheran Church and spending time with her grandchildren.

Esther is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Jerry) Binnion of Mountain Home, AR; son, Dan Martin of Chanute, KS; seven grandchildren, Dan Martin, Jr. of Mountain Home, AR, Pamela Loridon of Shawnee, KS, Tina Crapson of Earlton, KS, Jennifer Shaddy of Mountain Home, AR, Tracy Powell of Chanute, KS, James Binnion of Mountain Home, AR, and Seth Martin of Chanute, KS; 10 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Ruby Goins and Wilma Denny both of Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Oscar Martin and son, Gary Martin.

Inurnment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Chanute, Kansas.
