Ethel passed away September 17, 2015, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 94. She was born June 14, 1921, in Cresco, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Anna Despard Hunter. She married Eugene Valenton Despard and was a factory worker. Ethel lived in Mountain Home since 1999, moving from Texas. She enjoyed playing pool, cards, fishing and camping.
Ethel is survived by her daughter, Jean Akers of Mountain Home, AR; son, Roger Despard; son, David Despard; daughter, Dawn Highly; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and her sister, Jeanora.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and grandchild, Robert Lowrey.
