Eugene Lack

Gene Lack was born June 29, 1925 in Old Buffalo, Arkansas. He was the son of Audy Guy and Helen Ruth Hand Lack. He married Myrtle Wellman on June 20, 1946 in Old Buffalo. He worked for General Motors in Kansas City, Missouri for about thirty years before retiring and returning to Arkansas. Mr. Lack loved to fish the river. He was a loving husband and father. He was an honest man; a man of integrity. He was a member of the Living Word Church. We will all miss his smile, hugs and hearing him say, "I love you and I think the world of you!" Eugene Herman Lack passed away at Gassville Nursing Center on April 14, 2005, at the age of 79 years, 9 months and 15 days. Survivors: Three daughters; Shelby (Dave) Lunday of Mountain Home, Arkansas; Shirley Lack and Cora (Wiley) Stevens of Flippin; son, Larry (Patti) Lack of Phoenix, Arizona; four brothers, A. G. (Ruth Ann) Lack, Lonnie (Ruth) Lack and Jerry (Joanne) Lack of Flippin and Doyle (Louise) Lack of Greenbrier, Arkansas; two sisters, Wylodene (Don) Hickman of Gardner, Kansas and Reba (Delman) Parnell of Norfork, Arkansas; three grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren Preceded in Death by: His parents, a brother, two sisters and two grandchildren Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m.; Friday, April 15, 2005 at the Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Funeral: Graveside services for Eugene "Gene" H. Lack of Flippin, Arkansas, will be Saturday, April 16, 2005 at Hand Valley Cemetery with Pastor Dave Lunday officiating.
