Eula Josephine "Jo" Holzhauer of Elizabeth, Arkansas, passed away January 16, 2021, in Elizabeth, Arkansas at the age of 90. She was born January 25, 1930, in Lutesville, Missouri, the daughter of Elmer and Elsie Gregory Ray. She married Edward Holzhauer on May 13, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri. Jo lived in Elizabeth since moving from Waterloo, Illinois, in 2011. Jo accepted Christ at the age of 15 and was baptized in 2016 at Wises Chapel Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member. She enjoyed crafting, canning produce from the garden, playing cards with her friends, and fishing.
Jo is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Steven) Couch of Elizabeth, AR; three grandchildren, Corey (Cassie) Couch of Birch Tree, MO, Kimberly (Jason) Sickmeier of Columbia, MO, and Kelly (Cole) Younger of Eminence, MO; seven great-grandchildren, Gavin, Mylo, Weston, Hadley, Conner, Avery, and Chloe; and sister-in-law, Mary Allen of San Antonio, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Edward Steven Holzhauer; two brothers, Calvin Ray and Orville Ray; and sister, Flora Probst.
Burial will be in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Saint Louis, Missouri, with her husband.
Memorials may be made to Wises Chapel Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Pineville, Arkansas.
