A Funeral Service for Evelyn Sue Holmes of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Thursday, September 21, 2017, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Bill Hughes officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 20, 2017, from 5:00 until 8:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home.
Evelyn passed away September 14, 2017, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 68. She was born June 7, 1949, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, the daughter of Melvin and Nona Amos Thomas. She married Jim Holmes on March 20, 1965. Evelyn lived in Mountain Home since moving from Oklahoma in 1981.
Evelyn is survived by her husband, Jim Holmes of Mountain Home, AR; two children, Lori Donohue of Gassville, AR, and Kristy Cox of Mountain Home, AR; grandchildren, Erika (Doug) Johnson; and three great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
In Lieu of Flowers, the family requests donations be made to the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
