Evelyn Frances Ruff passed away February 11, 2020, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 84. She was born March 13, 1935, in Bethany, Oklahoma, the daughter of James and Frances Wright Marshall. She married John on May 2, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois. Evelyn lived in Mountain Home since moving from Chicago, Illinois, in 2000. She was a member of the Mountain Home Bible Church.
Evelyn spent many hours studying the Bible and its message of love and redemption. After two decades raising her children Evelyn returned to school to become a Registered Nurse her favorite area of nursing was the Well Baby Care. While in Mountain Home Evelyn joined a tutoring program where she volunteered as a tutor for grade school children as she loved children and valued education. She enjoyed travel, reading, playing card games (3/13) Yahtzee, etc. Her gentle soul, her kind heart, and her faith in God carried her over to heaven just as she always knew it would. For she had no fear, she need not worry, she knew she was going to be with God and she was filled with love to her last moments. Evelyn was very much loved by her family.
Evelyn is survived by her husband, John Ruff, Sr. of Mountain Home, AR; sister, Nita Janisch; three sons, Mark Ruff (Marge) of Sun City, AZ, Paul Ruff (Susan) of Chesterton, IN, and John (Vicki) Ruff of Algonquin, IL; daughter, Laura Ruff of Mountain Home, AR; and 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, David.
A Celebration of Life for Evelyn will be at 10:15 am, Saturday, March 14, 2020 at the Mountain Home Bible Church.
