Evelyn Sylvan

Evelyn Sylvan died Wednesday, June 24, 2009 in Mountain Home at the age of 80. She was born Wednesday, November 7, 1928 in Cicero, Illinois, the daughter of Otto and Marie Koletskia Marek. She married Ernest Sylvan, Sr. on December 22, 1659 at Chicago, Illinois and was a homemaker. Evelyn lived in Mountain Home since 1979 moving from Naperville, Illinois. She was a member of and enjoyed the Moose Lodge, Bingo and her church. She loved her animals and cherished her granddaughter. She was a good cook and baker. Survivors: Evelyn Sylvan is survived by her 2 daughters, Carole (James) Lambert and Rose Marie (William Keller) Sylvan, son, Ernest Sylvan, Jr. all of Mountain Home, AR and her granddaughter, Jessica Marie Sylvan. Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 1 brother. Funeral: Memorial services for Evelyn Ruth Sylvan of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 5:00 P.M. Monday, June 29, 2009 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, with Bishop Ray Postelwait officiating. Burial: Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Ozarks or Altzheimers Foundation.
