Everett Johnson died Sunday, January 18, 2009 in Mountain Home at the age of 83. He was born Wednesday, October 28, 1925 in Chester, Pennsylvania, the son of Wade Guy and Jessie Pyatt Johnson. He married Lucille Pederson on September 16, 1998 at Mountain Home, Arkansas and worked as a carpenter owning and operating Johnson Construction. Everett Johnson was a WWII veteran of the Merchant Marines. Everett lived in Mountain Home since 1977 moving from Denver, Colorado. He was a member of the American Legion - Alley-White Post #52. Survivors: Everett Johnson is survived by his wife, Lucille Johnson and 2 step-sons, David (Darlene) Johnson of Mt. Vernon, MO and Marvin Heikkila of Duluth, MN, 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and sister, Opal (Marion) Hammond of Santa Fe, NM. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Virginia. Visitation: Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Funeral: Funeral services for Everett Wade Johnson of Mountain Home, AR, will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, January 23, 2009 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Bill Hughes officiating. Burial: Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House.
