A Funeral Service for Fern Cox of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, June 11, 2015, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until service time.
Fern passed away June 9, 2015, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, at the age of 72. She was born April 4, 1943, in Ash Flat, Arkansas, the daughter of James and Edith Matney McEndree. She married Lee Roy Cox in 2008, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Fern lived in Mountain Home since 1980 and was a member of Harmony Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed her family, her church, southern gospel singing, reading, gardening and watching Cardinals baseball with her sweetheart Lee Roy. Fern knew she was going to heaven when her life ended and left instructions for her family to know Jesus so someday they could be reunited and walk together on streets of gold.
Fern is survived by her husband, Lee Roy Cox of Mountain Home, AR; three daughters, Angie (Farron) Wilhite of Mountain Home, AR, Kim (David) Allen-Stilts of Wappapello, MO and Tracy (Dwayne) Adams of Cotter, AR; son, Todd Richmond of KY; step-son, Bobby (Jennifer) Cox of Fayetteville, AR; step-daughter, Armanda Cox of Mountain Home, AR; seven grandchildren, Jordan (Becky) Wilhite, Haley Wilhite, Nick Wilhite, Anthony Richmond, Maddux Adams, Cole Adams, and Hudson Adams; eight step-grandchildren, Breanna Cox, Ethan Cox, Jordan (Kyla) Robbins, Alex Robbins, and Brady Robbins, Kim (Eddie) Harty, Cindy (Stacy) Smith, and Dale (Michelle) Stilts; nine step-great-grandchildren, Oliver and Nora Robbins, Chasity (Miles) Browning, Eric Harty, Makenzy and Landon Smith, Dale Jr. and Drake Stilts and Izabella Browning; brother, Jay McEndree; and two sisters, Eleanor Benningfield, and Dorothy Powers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jim McEndree; and sister, Carolyn Mastroni.
Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Memorials may be made to Harmony Freewill Baptist Church.
