Floy Cox

Floy Cox died Sunday, November 2, 2008 in Mountain Home at the age of 85. She was born Friday, January 19, 1923 in Fredericktown, Missouri, the daughter of William Franklin and Daisy Leona Evans Heath. She married Glenn Allen Cox on February 4, 1977 at Vinita, Oklahoma. Floy lived in Mountain Home since 1965 moving from Downer's Grove, IL. She was a member of Ozark VFW post #3246 Auxillary and was the owner of Fish & Fiddle Resort and Town & Country Motel. Survivors: Floy Cox is survived by her husband, Glenn Allen Cox. son, Charles James Baxa of Edmond, OK, daughter, Glenna L. Barlow of Mayflower, AR, 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, brother, George Wayne (Carla) Heath of Taylor, MI and sister, Daisy Caringer of Evansville, IN. Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Joe Baxa and Allen Cox and one daughter, JoAnn Adkerson and brothers and sisters. Visitation: Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral: Funeral services for Floy Adeline Cox of Mountain Home, AR, will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Louis Stephens officiating. Burial: Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
