Floyd died Sunday June 21, 2009 at Twin Lakes Nursing Center. He was 87. Floyd was born January 28, 1922 at Lake City, Arkansas to William and Martha Haggard Henley. He married Velma Eaves at Lake City on October 7, 1945. Floyd worked as a welder for General Electric for thirty years. He lived in Flippin for thirty years moving here from Chicago, Illinois. Floyd enjoyed working in his garden and was an avid people watcher. Survivors: Floyd is survived by two sons Daniel(Patricia) and Wayne Henley of Flippin, Arkansas, five grandchildren; David, Debbie, Mary, Christy and Mathew and five great-grandchildren; Summer, Elizabeth, Joshua, Blake and Taylor. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his wife, three brothers, one sister and his parents. Funeral: A Funeral Service for Floyd Esmond Henley of Flippin Arkansas will be at 10AM Thursday June 25, 2009 at Fairview Cemetery in Marion County with Brother Ryan Butler officiating. Burial: Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Memorials: Memorials may be made to Summitt Sovereign Grace Baptist Church. Honorary Bearers: Honorary pallbearers are Spence Ott, Matt Newell, and Bart Schad. Active Bearers: Derrick Stevens, Ronnie Henley and Keith Henley as pallbearers.
