A Celebration of Life and Funeral Service for Frank Grosso of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Dick Linstad officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday, May 7, 2012 with a Vigil Service at 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Frank passed away May 3, 2012, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 62. He was born July 23, 1949, in Siracusa, Sicily, Italy, the son of Angelo and Concettina "Tina" Ferlini Grosso. He married Stacy Rowe on April 26, 1985, at Shippensburg, Pennsylvania and worked as a criminal investigator for the Department of Defense. Frank was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Frank lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 1988, moving from Ventura, California. He was a member of Loyal Order of the Moose and the Rattler-Firebird Vietnam Veterans Association. He was an accomplished grillmaster, and enjoyed tending his yard and garden, fishing, cooking, bargain-hunting, golfing and most of all, his family. Frank is survived by his wife, Stacy Grosso of Mountain Home; 2 sons, Angelo (Amy) Grosso of Coral Springs, FL and Mario (Susan) Grosso of Mountain Home; daughter, Christine N. Grosso of Fayetteville, AR; mother, Tina Grosso of Mountain Home; brother, Joseph (Helen) Grosso of Camarillo, CA; 2 sisters, Ann Spencer of Mountain Home and Sally Lopez of Terre Haute, IN; granddaughter, Angelina Grosso; 2 grandsons,Tony Grosso and Nathan Grosso. Frank had an especially close bond with his father-in-law, Fred (Shirley) Barrett of Mountain Home and 2 friends he regarded as "brothers", Roger Jerome and JT Johnson. He was preceded in death by his father, Angelo Grosso, and his beloved brother-in-law, Geoffrey Alan Spencer. Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas, with Fred Barrett, Frank Green, Roger Jerome, JT Johnson, Jeff Bardwell and Dustin Mulholland as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Derek Mulholland, Michael Green, Anthony Green and Duane Gomes. Military Honors will be provided by the Alley-White American Legion Post #52 Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks. Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
