Memorial services for Frank Vielbaum of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 5:30 pm on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at the Kirby & Family Funeral Home, with Cliff Prough officiating. Frank died Friday, July 1, 2011, at his residence, at the age of 81. He was born March 3, 1930, in Phoenix, Arizona, the son of Albert Heinrich and WildaViola Esque Vielbaum. Frank Vielbaum was a U.S. veteran of the Merchant Marines and U.S. Marine Corps. He married Lynn Bungerz on August 1, 1974, at Houston, Texas, and worked as a custodian for the Mountain Home Public Schools. Frank lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 1983, moving from Concord, California. He was named Custodian of the Decade at Nelson-Wilks Elementary School by Principal James Simmons. He was a bargain hunter, and his mother's family originated in North Arkansas. Frank is survived by his wife, Lynn; 5 daughters and 3 sons: Teresa Merdha of Antioch, CA; Patricia Frasier of Concord, CA; Brenda McCall of Mariposa, CA; Mara Hohn of Mountain Home, AR; and Sarah Vielbaum of Ibarra, Ecuador; Frank Aaron Vielbaum of San Diego, CA; Karl Vielbaum of Gassville, AR; and Adam Vielbaum of St. Louis, MO. Frank is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 1 sister, Joyce Miller of Placerville, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Vinita; daughter, Tina; 1 brother; and 2 sisters. Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
