Gale Hershell Burch was born on November 5, 1915 at Chickasha, Oklahoma to Peter Brand and Mamie Burch. He was a truck driver for P.I.E. trucking for 20 years and retired in 1985. He married Geneva Fort on July 3, 1992 at Lake Tahoe, California and moved to Eufaula, Oklahoma in 2000 and on to Mountain Home in 2003. He was a Life member of the VFW in Oakland, California and a member of the Eufaula Masonic Lodge Number 1 in Eufaula, Oklahoma. Gale Burch passed away on December 12, 2006 at the Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 91 years, one month and seven days. Survivors: his wife; Geneva Burch of Mountain Home, Two step sons: Tom McNerney of Ft. Smith, Arkansas and Sean McNerney of Mountain Home and one brother Basil Richuber and wife Marjorie of Corpus Christi, Texas. Preceded in Death by: his parents, his first wife Sarah and one brother Dale. Funeral: Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2006 at the Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel with the Mountain Home Masonic Lodge # 225 and the Ozark VFW Post #3246 providing honors. Burial: Entombment will be in the Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park Cemetery in Hayward, California. Memorials: Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House.
