Garry Benton

Memorial Services for Garry Douglas Benton of Oakland, Arkansas, will be 12:00 PM Saturday, November 12, 2011, at Three Brothers Community Church, with Reverend Bill Purifoy officiating. He passed away Saturday, November 5, 2011 at his residence, at the age of 61. Garry was born June 9, 1950, in Flippin, AR, he was the son of Vernon and Hazel King Benton. He married Belinda Bansemer on December 29, 1967, at Kansas City, KS. He worked as a Carpenter. Garry Benton was a U.S. Army veteran. Garry lived in Oakland, Arkansas and was a lifetime resident of the Twin Lakes area. Garry is survived by his son, Douglas Benton of Oakland, AR; 2 sisters, Judy Francisco of Kansas City, KS, Jennifer Blair-Nobles, of Oakland, AR; brother, Jack Yoakum of Kansas City, KS; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and 3 brothers, Howard Benton, Rick Yoakum, and Butch Yoakum.
