G.E. Estes was born March 27, 1933 in Wellington, Texas. He was the son of George E. and Emma Goodson Estes Sr. He married Cheryl Avey on August 10, 1977. Mr. Estes was employed as a pipeliner in heavy industrial construction. He served in the army during the Korean war. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He moved to Flippin, Arkansas in 1998 from Lordsburg, New Mexico. G. E. Estes passed away at his residence on February 28, 2005 at the age of 71 years, 11 months and 1 day. Survivors: Sons, Wes Estes of Flippin, Arkansas, and Brad (Julie) Duncan of Jacksonville, Arkansas; daughter, Sherri Hagenno of Flippin, Arkansas; brother, Charles Estes of Weatherford, Texas; sisters, Wanda Taylor of Fort Towson, Oklahoma and Dorothy (Gordon) Rogers of Waxahachie, Texas; mother, Emma Estes of Waxahachie, Texas; seven grandsons and one granddaughter Preceded in Death by: Father Visitation: Wednesday, March 2, from 5 - 8 p.m. Funeral: Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel in Bull Shoals, Arkansas, Thursday, March 3, 2005, 2:00 p.m. Pastor John Cartwright will officiate.
