Gene Edwin Bradley of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away December 13, 2021, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 86. He was born September 30, 1935, in Harrison, Arkansas, the son of Edwin and Ernestine Mull Bradley. He married Edna Kindle on December 4, 1952, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He worked at the Chevrolet Garage until he opened Bradley Garage, which he operated for 30 years, before selling to his son, Gary. After he retired, he went to work at McClain Farms and spent many years hauling cattle and hay. He was a gentle, loving soul who loved to visit with anyone who had time to sit and listen. He enjoyed meeting up with his friends every day at the Cozy Kitchen. He was a faithful Christian who loved the Lord. Gene loved his family and prayed for them daily. He loved life and lived it with a smile on his face that will not be forgotten. Gene never met a stranger and wanted to help anyone in need.
Gene is survived by his seven grandchildren, Lori (Larry) Tinkler of Summers, AR, Nichole (Brad) Cunningham of Flippin, AR, Waylen Bradley of Fayetteville, AR, Tina Bradley of Mountain Home, AR, Rebecca (Alan) Hambelton of Gainesville, MO, Esther (Chance) Strong of Gainesville, MO, and D.E. (Tiffany) Pleasant of Gainesville, MO; ten great-grandchildren, Tasha Davis, Logan Bradley, Kamryn Bradley, Lauren Tinkler, Landen Tinkler, Waylon Strong, Addilyn Strong, Brooke Hambelton, Gunner Hambelton, and Stetson Pleasant; three great-great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Danny Pleasant of Gainesville, MO; two sisters, Joy Robertson of Mountain Home, AR, and Lois (Ray) Pangle of Mountain Home, AR; and brother, Phil (Cheryl) Bradley of Mountain Home, AR.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Edna; two sons, Joe Lynn Bradley and Gary Edwin Bradley; daughter, Gwenda Jean Pleasant; two brothers, Dale and Ed Bradley; and sister, Velma Sue Ray.
Visitation will be Friday, December 17, 2021, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the College and North Church of Christ. Funeral Services will be 10:00 am, Saturday, December 18, 2021, at the College and North Church of Christ, with Halbert Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Mountain Home Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas, with Waylen Bradley, D.E. Pleasant, Chance Strong, Larry Tinkler, Danny Pleasant, and Alan Hambelton as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Quick, Garry Quick, Mark Page, Braiden Page, Bob Simpson, and Dale Plumlee.
Memorials may be made to the Mountain Home Cemetery.
