Gene Fields

A Graveside Service for Gene R. Fields, Sr. of Mountain Home, Arkansas will be held at 11:30 AM, Thursday, January 26, 2012, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Dunlap, Iowa. The Reverend Vikki O'Hara officiating. Gene passed away January 20, 2012 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 88. He was born October 30, 1923, in Portageville, MO, the son of Thomas and Orah Fields. Gene was a U.S. Army Air Force World War II veteran and was a member of the VFW, American Legion, and the DAV. He worked for Falstaff Brewery for 38 years. Gene is survived by 2 sons, Randy (Pat) Fields of Omaha, NE and Rick (Sandy) Fields of Bennington, NE; one daughter, Susie (Chuck) Zimmer of Centennial, CO and 6 grandchildren, Margie (Jay) Chblinski, Richard (Becky) Fields, Michaela (Joe) Gervase, Joe (Jenny) Mickeliunas, Molly (Tyler) Davis, Brandon Fields and 8 great-grandchildren. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary (1984), wife Marian (2012) and 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
