Geneva J Kenner of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away January 5, 2021, in Calico Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 93. She was born December 7, 1927, in Turkey Creek, Louisiana, the daughter of Ogden and Zena Messer Johnson. She married Robert Kenner on September 7, 1946, in Turkey Creek, Louisiana. Geneva lived in Mountain Home since moving from Minden, Louisiana, in 1996. She was a member of the Mountain Home Baptist Church since 2000. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, working in her yard, and was a three-time graduate of the Faith Bible Institute.
Geneva is survived by her daughter, Etta Andrews of Mountain Home, AR; son, McKinley (Dianne) Kenner of Doyline, LA; daughter, Rita Kenner of Mountain Home, AR; son, Richard (Nancy) Kenner of Doyline, LA; daughter, Christy (Mike) Reid of Mountain Home, AR; sister, Joyce Rox of Glenmora, LA; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Tammy Carr; son, Russell Kenner; sister, Florence O'Pry; and brother, James Johnson.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 9, 2021, from 9:00 am until 10:00 am, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be 10:00 am, Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor J.R. Cousins and Brother Bob Mathis officiating. Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas, with William Andrews, Clint Kenner, Brett Reid, Clyde Bookout, Chris Pyle, Winn Meredith, Troy Turner, and Waylon Bates as pallbearers. Steve Lee will be the honorary pallbearers. Due to current restrictions, masks are required.
