A Graveside Service for Geneva Avaline "Jackie" Powers of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Saturday, October 28, 2017, at Lower Oakland Cemetery, with Reverend Darren Morris officiating.
Jackie passed away October 25, 2017, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 84. She was born July 26, 1933, in Russellville, Arkansas, the daughter of Pat and Callie Winters Marlar. She married Fred Powers on February 4, 1950, in Forrest City, Arkansas and worked as an assembly worker and retired from Baxter Health Care. Jackie lived in Mountain Home since 1970, moving from Forrest City, Arkansas. She was the current secretary for the Lower Oakland Cemetery. She enjoyed working with flowers, watching game shows, working puzzles and playing with her eight year old grandson, Cory.
Jackie is survived by her husband, Fred Powers of Mountain Home, AR; daughter, Mary (Jim) Baker of Mountain Home, AR; two sons, Gary (Tina) Powers of Wynne, AR and John Powers of Dallas, TX; sister, Eloise Cerezo of Guatemala; six grandchildren, Amanda (Paul) Bellnap, Myranda Baker, Kevin (Andrea) Powers,Tasha (Calvin) Taylor, Patrick Powers, John Henry (Josie) Powers and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials may be made to Lower Oakland Cemetery .
