A Memorial Service for George Joseph Boehm of Midway, Arkansas, will be 11:00 am, Saturday, September 10, 2016, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Jerry Strobel officiating.
George Joseph Boehm was born April 15, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois to George and Cecilia Mogenhan Boehm. He grew up in a large family of eight sisters and two brothers. He was employed by Central Steel and Wire before venturing into a pizza carry out business in Downers Grove, Illinois. In 1975 he sold the business and moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas to open a restaurant named "Geo's". George's menu featured Italian sandwiches, pizza and his delicious Grecian chicken received a write up in the Arkansas times.
George is survived by his wife, Marion Boehm, son, Bill Miner, two grand-daughters, three great-grandchildren, and his faithful canine companion Heidi.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorials go to Franklin Graham's Samaritan's Purse.
