A Memorial Service for George Bouras of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:30 am, Monday, January 7, 2013, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel. Military Honors will be provided by the Alley-White American Legion Post #52 Honor Guard. George passed away January 3, 2013, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 86. He was born August 23, 1926, in Cicero, Illinois, the son of John D. and Elizabeth Rankin Bouras. He married Joan Leibnitz November 30, 1986, at McHenry, Illinois and worked as a Electrician and General Foreman for over fifty years as a member of I.B.E.W. Local 70, Du Page County, Illinois. George was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. George lived in Mountain Home, since 1988 moving from Winfield, Illinois. George is survived by his wife, Joan Bouras of Mountain Home, AR; four sons, David Allen (Denise) Bouras of Melrose Park, IL, Paul Daniel Bouras of Romeoville, IL, Steven Mark (Theresa) Bouras of LaValle, WI and Timothy Scott (Patty) Bouras of Roselle, IL two daughters, Janet Sue Catalano of Carol Stream, IL and Kathleen Ann (Missy) Bouras of Villa Park, IL; step-son, William (Mary) Schmidt of Oronoco, MN; grandchildren Tracy Windom, Emelia, Paul, Lauren, Lindsey and Matthew Bouras and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marge Schuemelfeder, two brothers, Ronald and Russell Bouras and a step-daughter, Cathy Schmidt. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks. Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
